Post-Championships
Wow! Saturday night was one of the most amazing performances I've ever had the honor to perform in my time here. [I know it's over-said, but] No matter what our placing was, I know you guys did your best and that's all that I could have asked from anyone on that field. Thank you for making this season simply amazing, and I'm really going to miss you guys next year. Hope you all enjoy the downtime now and rest up for play season. ;-)

Montgomery/Hillsborough Weekend
Well as you all well know, practice was cancelled for tonight. Like Mr. Webber said in class today, we're in need of major work after our major changes. Dynamics and the new end of Act IV are major changes which we haven't had any time to solidify. So this means we need to be at our best Friday and Saturday. Friday night, make the most of the run through, and try to focus on your show. Saturday, we need to focus and keep to rehearsal etiquette so that we can get as much done as possible. Remember, you can only get out of this what you put into it, so make sure to put in your best so that we can blow them away at Hillsborough!
So remember to pack warmly for tomorrow because it's supposed to rain and be similar to today. Saturday is supposed to be sunny, but anything can change.
Post 09/23/05 Football Game
Wow! What a great performance! Keep it up for Saturday! Remember to get your shoes and gloves cleaned, also.

Lost Section Shirt
There is a trumpet section shirt in the band room Lost&Found. The size is medium. If you lost your section shirt, please claim it ASAP in the band room.
EDIT: It ended up being Rebecca's.
Next Practice - Wed 09/14/05
This practice runs from 5:30PM to 8:00PM at IHS, however we will be having a sectional as Mr. Webber mentioned. Our sectional will start at 4:30PM and we'll probably meet first in the cage room. Make sure you have your music, dot books, a pencil, etc. We'll be working on marching as well as playing, as we prepare for our first competition.
Upcoming Band Event - Football Game - 09/09/05
Yaay! Our first football game of the season! Football games are lots of fun because we perform our show as usual, but in the stands and such it's a more relaxed atmosphere than, say, at a competition.
This will also be our first performance in full marching uniform, and so you'll need to pack accordingly.
- White collared band shirt
- White marching shoes
- Navy Blue socks
Report is 3:30PM at IHS, and Pizza will be provided. We perform our marching show at half time, but we also play things in the stands and such. We play the
Star Spangled Banner (SSB),
Notre Dame, and all the other pep songs which will be distributed at the game.
Upcoming Band Event - Meet The Teams - 09/08/05
Meet the teams is our first public performance, and a very important one at that. It's our opportunity to march our show in front of all of our peers. Let's make it a great first performance!
You'll need your white collared band shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. This is our "relaxed uniform". Report is 4:00PM at IHS when we'll probably be practicing alittle, the performance is at 7:00PM, and pickup is at approx. 8:30PM. We'll be playing and marching the entire show, but also playing The Star Spangled Banner and Notre Dame Victory March. You were all given this music at Tuesday's rehearsal. Please make sure you know it, as we'll be playing it most of our non-adjudicated events.
Mini Band Camp
Mini Band Camp is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Aug. 29th, 31st, Sept. 1) from 3:30PM-8PM at Immaculata. It's a chance to clean everything we covered at band camp, and also for organizational things such as uniform and hat fittings.
Post-Band Camp
Wow! Band Camp 2005 was AMAZING. We finished ALL of the drill and music (i.e. the entire show). Thanks for working so hard and lets keep it up for our first performance (in less than two weeks)!

Drill is Up!
Parts 1 and 2 of the Drill are up for download in PDF form on ihsband.org (
link). Everyone is supplying their own drill this year, and every person needs their own copy. Please print out the drill as it becomes available so that you have your own copy for band camp. If you have trouble or cannot print the drill for any reason, that's ok - just tell me and I can get you a copy. Dots will be given first day at band camp.
Open Mic Night - Wed. Night BC
If you are planning on, or would like to, participate in an act for Open Mic Night on Wednesday night of Band Camp, please let me know. We're trying to take a tally of how many acts we currently have lined up, so a quick
email or
IM with what you're doing / who's involved would be much appreciated. I encourage you all to participate - yours truly
may be doing/involved in an act... (you'll just have to wait and see)
